"Dark Turn of Mind" by Gillian Welch uses internal rhyme to show the mood of the song. He says, "But oh ain't the nighttime so lovely to see? Don't all the nightbirds sing sweetly?" The words "nighttime" and "nightbird" give the mood of a dark feeling. Also it tells you that this during the night.
Welch also uses repetition through senses. "Now I see the bones in the river, And I feel the wind through the pine, And I hear the shadows a-calling..." He uses the senses of touch, sight, and hearing to give some of the mood the the song too.
