Human Nature

I think all humans are basically born as good people. As people grow up they all have different experiences, people who influence them, backgrounds, and hardships. I believe all of these things help to form the type of person you will be as an adult. Parents and teachers also help form the type person you will be. One thing I know for sure is everyone makes mistakes, no one is perfect.
The reason I believe this is because all the people I have met in my life. Some people are happy and always trying to be the best person they can be. I believe that is because of their religion and the people in their life. I have also met people who are sad and some who seem to always chose the wrong path. Overall, I believe there is happy and sad people in the world, and it is up to you what you want to be.

Reading Response

Lord of the Flies is about a class of boys that were in a plane that got shot down in a war. They are now stranded on an island and have to find a way to get rescued. The main character in the novel is Ralf. He is the voted leader, but he is not doing a very good job. The funny thing is about the Island they have all of the food and water they need for a long time. There is fields of fruit, and streams of fresh water.
So far this book has been very good because of the adventures the kids have gone on. I think it is interesting how the kids go places and discover new things. An example is when they discovered that the island was pink. The pink is big granite blocks all around the island. Overall, this is a very well written novel and I can't wait to keep reading.

Reading response

I am reading the maze Runner right now and Alby has now waken up from the changing. The girl is still asleep, but Thomas remembers her name, Tersesa. For the last couple of chapters the book has kind of just stayed in place. What I mean is the excitement level has stayed the same. It has been a boring couple of chapters.
So far the book has been really fun to read. What I mean is every chapter something new happens that you would forget that is coming. Like my last chapter I forgot that Alby was sleeping. I knew that he would wake up soon, but I forgot. I like how books can have that kind of excitement.

Fall Break Post

For Fall Break my family and I went to Orange Beach, Alabama to see Bayes Southern Bar and Grill. That is the name of my dad's new restaurant that he is opening. It will be opening on Monday at three o'clock. We are very exited for it to open because it has been pushed back because of construction. I think Bays will be very successful.
While we were in Orange Beach, we also went fishing. It was really fun because we caught animals I never would of thought that we would of caught. We caught a sting ray, that was really big. We also caught many catfish and pin fish. We couldn't keep any fish because they were not big enough. Overall, my fall Break was really fun.

Should We Abandon Louisiana? In Some Ways, We Already Have

Should We Abandon Louisiana? In Some Ways, We Already Have, written by Zack Kopplin, was a very eye opening passage for me to read. I could not believe that almost all the flood victims did not have flood insurance. Another thing the passage said was every hour a football field of lands is washed away in Louisiana. Zack Kopplin also said that the flood did not make the news until after the flood. This is shocking because Red Cross said that this was one of the biggest natural disasters in a long time.
At the end Zack Kopplin asked the question, "Should we rebuild Louisiana?" For one thing to help Louisiana stop sinking we should be able to do something to stop it. Also for all of ruined houses now because of the flood the owners should come back and fix them up. Overall, it is going to take Louisiana a long time to rebuild. Hopefully one day everything can come back to normal.

Comments week 6

Anders-The Flood

Max-Free Post

LSU Football

LSU had just recently fired their head coach Les Miles. I think that this is the best thing that could of happened for the team. If you were an opposing team playing LSU all you had to do is stop our running back and you would win. This is because Miles would not throw the ball. Our new head coach is Ed Orgeron, who used to be the defensive line coach.
In Ed's first game as head coach against Missouri we won by thirty five points. He threw the ball a lot more that running and our quarterback did great. I don't think Miles thought that our quarterback Danney Etling had what is took. Next week LSU plays in the swap against the Florida Gators. This will be a hard game, but I think the Tigers will come out on top.

The Maze Runner

Thomas and Minho had survived the night in the Griver filled maze. When they made it back the next morning no one could believe that they had survived. It was really interesting how the Auther of the book James Dasher made the scene I described so detailed. He gave words like the "strong, thick vines" and "dark, heavy machinery."I love books that describes words like this because it gives you such a clear picture of what is happening.
When James Dasher was talking about the dark, heavy machinery he was talking about the Grivers. Grivers are big machines that try to kill you by injecting nettles into you. After you get stuck by them you go through the changing. I explained what the changing is in my last blog post. Overall, I hope that the book is still just as good as I keep reading.
